Sustainable Internet Marketing

Archive for May, 2010

robpattonThis website represents my business – helping businesses market themselves SUCCESSFULLY on the internet.

The most important factor for the success of any website is ORGANIC SEARCH ENGINE RESULTS. These are the most visited results because searchers know they are the product of a search engine formula that values relevance and popularity.

My approach to helping my clients get these results could be described as “old school” because it follows the tried and true methods to getting a website noticed and ranked well by the major search engines – Google, Yahoo and MSN. I do not employ methods to trick, spam or spoof the search engines. People who promise too-good-to-be-true results (like you get in email messages from mysterious people) are just that: not true.

In May of 2007, I was honored to present a workshop titled “Marketing Your Business Successfully On The Web” through the Oregon Small Business Development Center and Clackamas Community College. Since then, I have taught workshops and mini-seminars for the SBDC, various title companies, Ladies Who Launch and Keller-Williams Realty. I am also a member of the River City Marketing Team – a group of diverse individuals who train and provide services for all businesses.

Oh James Cameron, you have awakened the sleeping giant that is 3D. The game of “who can make the better Power Point presentation” just took a severe, ugly turn.

InFocus announces the launch of 3D projectors, surely the harbinger of the rollout of – you guessed it – Power Point 3D. Can’t wait to see those Pie Charts jumping off the screen and right into my lap.

Yeah, you get to keep the cute little glasses.

From NW Innovation:

Portland-based InFocus, a developer of projectors, said today that it has added a new range of 3D projectors, specifically focused on the educational market. The firm said the new line of products comes as part of a collaboration with Lightspeed Design. The firm said its IN100 series, IN2116, and IN3116 3D projectors support both 2D and 3D projection, and are specifically geared towards educational environments. The firm said the projectors are ideal for virtual reality and other similar applications, and cost roughly the same as a 2D projector.
