Google Adsense is a way to make money by placing Google ads on your website. This workshop covers the basics of the system and allows you to set up your own account to get started.

The workshop will be held on February 24, 2009 from 1-4 pm at the Small Business Develeopment Center at Clackamas Community College. The cost is $30.

Did you know that if you have a website, you could be earning passive income with Google ads? Learn how to set up Google ads on your site, how to control what appears on your site and how to read reports on your progress.

Workshop Description: Google Adsense is Google’s revenue-sharing advertising program. Google pays website owners for clicks from Google ads placed on the owner’s site. Depending on site traffic, this can be an effective way to start an additional income stream for a small business. This course includes 1.5 hours of classroom instruction and 1.5 hours of guided computer lab time. The lab time will offer students an opportunity to establish their own Google Adsense accounts, which involves access to their website code or the ability to convey desires to a website designer.

Student Learning Outcomes: By the end of the workshop, you will be able to…
• Analyze the potential to make money on Google Adsense
• Identify the types of Google Adsense ads and how they work
• Set up a Google Adsense account and start running ads
• Monitor and adjust an ongoing Google Adsense campaign
• Control ads on his or her site and block competitors from advertising
